Australia Day 2019

We had a lovely relaxing long weekend for Australia Day.  We celebrated with some of our family at our home with a BBQ.

We enjoyed eating Koala cupcakes

The new Shapes variety of Vegemite and Cheese was yummy.

Visit from Heather and the Girls

Heather and the girls came to visit to Tassie for a week.  We had a lovely catch up with them last weekend.  We had a BBQ at Dad and Pam's and also a evening meal at Dynasty Chinese Restaurant in Launceston.

Enjoying ourselves at the BBQ

Summer - January 2019

We are getting some really nice summer weather.  The forecast for tomorrow is 34 degrees C.  Our garden is growing nicely and we have found a new favourite restaurant close by at Beauty Point.

Lovely crop of tomatoes waiting for them to ripen.

More strawberries ready to pick.

Parsley all gone to seed.

Cherry tomatoes ready to pick.

The Riviera Hotel, my new favourite restaurant.

The Seafood platter for two we had for tea was divine.

Views from the restaurant window.

Dinghy and Oystercatchers.

New Year's Day 2019

We spent a wonderful day at Ulverstone going to Pier 01 for lunch, this has become a lovely tradition,  being our 7th year of having New Year's Day lunch here.

Lovely sunny day at Pier 01 at Ulverstone.

At our usual seat by the window.

Watching the world go by.

Nice cold cider to start with.

Oysters Kilpatrick to share.

King Prawns with tropical salad X 2.

Richard chose Eton Mess for sweets.

And I chose the Passionfruit Panna Cotta.

The waiter making our coffees.

Watching the kayakers paddle on the past river.

Thank you Heather, John and girls for a lovely lunch :-)

I never get tired of this view.

We moved to Blackwall 16 years ago.  And I never get tired of the ever changing views from our front window. Beautiful afternoon sunset glow...
