Like the rest of the country we have had our share of rain, floods and gusty windy weather. And according to the weather bureau there's more to come, and snow to the 700 metre level on the 1st November.

Australia the land of flooding rains.
Flood waters coming down the Cataract Gorge.
This photo doesn't do it justice.
The former Toll keepers cottage at the entrance to the Cataract Gorge.
One of the trees floating in the Tamar River past our home.
Another tree.
The Statesman Cargo Boat going past.
The smaller boats on the river have to be
careful navigating around the floating debris.
More debris.
Another tree.
Putting the size of the trees into perspective.
But wait there's more.
I think the river is starting to clear of debris now.
Working in Perth
We worked for two weeks in Perth, but the weather was quite bad for taking photos so I only got a few. I really like the older homes in the area. It's got lots of new subdivisions and the town is growing at a fast pace, but I do like the older homes they have a bit of character to them.
One of the older homes I walked passed.
There were still a few trees in blossom.
The Halloween House.
Another older house near the railway tracks.
More blossom trees.
The Wisteria in bloom.
Another couple of character homes.
It was a great time to work in Perth when the weather
was good you could smell the boronia, lilacs and
other scented flowers with the cockatoos calling
and the magpies warble in the gum trees.
Very pleasant.
Then it rained and I was soaked to the skin.
Happy Halloween
We have had fun this month celebrating Halloween by watching scary movies and eating Halloween treats and ghost hunting.
Some of my decorations.
Spooky black bird in the garden
Killer Coffee coaster and skeleton hand.
More decorations.
My Jack Skellington tealight holder and candy bowl.
Decorations in a garden in Perth.
More of the spooky decorations.
The yard would have looked good at night all lit up.
Krispy Kreme Halloween.
Another candy bowl.
Spooky cemetery looking for ghosts.

Seal rock.
Looking for waterspouts and whales from the balcony at Middleton.
Another whale.
There were a few whales with calves in the
bay and we had fun looking for them.

Just about to land in Adelaide.
