Billy Elliot the Musical

I finally go to use my Christmas gift from Crystal and Gerrard.  It was a ticket to see Billy Elliot the Musical.  I went along with Crystal to see the musical, and it was totally amazing.  We both really enjoyed the performance.  It was awesome.

The last time I went to the theatre was with Crystal and we saw Kinky Boots.
At the end of the show, they were handing out advertisements for Billy Elliot.

This is the Billy Elliot sign at the West End in London.  The show ran from 2005 for eleven years to 2016 and 4,600 performances.  Thank you Google for the trivia.

The photo is from the Examiner Newspaper article about the musical.

Part of the story about Billy Elliot in the Examiner Newspaper.

This is the stage for the performance.  The black and white
pictures was like a newsreel and changed it was about
Maggie Thatcher and the miners strike of 1984 -85,
which is when Billy Elliot is set.

These photos are from the souvenir brochure as I wasn't
permitted to take photos during the performance.

Thank you Crystal, I had a lovely time at the theatre.

St Patrick's Day Festival - Westbury

We spent a lovely morning at Westbury for the St Patrick's Day Festival.  As always there is lots of things to see, plenty of craft stalls, food vans, guinness to drink and entertainment.

We arrived at 10.30ish and the festivities had already begun.  Unfortunately we missed the young Irish Dancers, they were all walking around in their beautiful outfits, but had already had their performances.

Lovely Clydesdale horses and carriage.

Coral Discoverer

The Coral Discoverer Cruise Ship comes past our home every summer/autumn to weigh anchor at Rosevears.  We watched as it sailed past, but didn't have my camera handy, so we took a little trip along the river roads to Rosevears to take some photos.

The Coral Discoverer Cruise Ship, on it's trip to circumnavigate around Tasmania.
It carries a maximum of 72 passengers which sounds expensive.

The Cruise Ship attracts a bit of attention with the light plane buzzing it.

Our shadows on the jetty at Rosevears.

The Tamar River Cruise boat came for a look too.

The next day the Coral Discoverer sailed past on
its way to it's next port of call at Stanley.

And then the water bomber went over to help with bushfires

Along came a Spyder

We had a look at the Can-Am Spyders at the Exeter Show the other weekend.  We had a lovely chat with the men there and had a sit on one.  What a tragic fatal error.  Or was it kismet.  After Richard had done a tonne of research and googling etc. we went to the House our Motorcycles in Prospect, next door to the Harley Davidson shop.  They had a lovely matte black Spyder on the showroom floor.  By the time we had finished looking, we bought it.  Are we mad or what?

We went back to the House of Motorcycles the next day
to buy helmets, jackets, boots and gloves.

Then on the Wednesday we got to take it home.

Richard having a lesson on all the buttons.

And off we go.  OMG it's so much fun.
We have been on a run yesterday just to Beauty Point
to get the feel of the Spyder, and we will
find somewhere else tomorrow as the
weather here is magic.

A BIG thank you Sharni for taking some of the photos.

Bridport for fish and chips
