Winter 2020

We have had some cold frosty starts to the day, or foggy days until lunchtime, and then the sun comes out just as it's about to go down for a glorious sunset.

Misty sunrise at home.
The last picture at the bottom of this post is the same spot of the river at sunset.
I never get sick of this view, it changes throughout the day and is always beautiful.

Foggy drive to George Town

Thick fog on our way to George Town.

Fog starting to lift on our way back to Launceston.

Wispy fog going back to Launceston.

Lovely sunset glow in the cloud and reflection on the water.

Sunset glow on the snow cloud.

Afternoon sun on the yachts.

Beautiful sunset glow across the river from home.
Calm and still with the reflections of the gum trees.
Always beautiful.

It was Dante's birthday earlier this month and due to Corona Virus we were unable to catch up until now.  We had a lovely little party with family at home for him.

A trip to Campbell Town on Monday.

We went for a trip to Campbell Town on Monday of the long weekend to service a motorbike.  It was a cold wintry day at 11.00 a.m. it was still only 3 degrees.

The new highway that bypasses Perth.

Then it got foggy.

The new roundabout and on our way to Campbell Town.

Large flock of cockatoos in the paddock.

Wispy clouds.

Along the country road between Campbell Town and Longford.

Going back home via Longford.

Lovely wintry day.

Lush and green.

We saw the emu in the paddock.

Then the fog came back at Longford.

Spice Lounge with Dad & Pam

We had a lovely meal at the Spice Lounge at the Sea Port on Saturday of the June long weekend.  So nice to catch up with them before their big move.

Sea Eagle

We were watching a Sea Eagle at the front of our house the other afternoon.  Magnificent birds.  We see them sometimes, but not quite so close to the house.  Lovely to watch them catch fish.

Sorry, it's a bit blurry.

Flying low over the water.

On the look out for fish.

Still low over the water.

Still looking.

Flying low.

Getting ready to catch the fish.

Caught it.

Crystal's 40th Birthday.

We were able to meet up with Crystal for her birthday as the Corona Virus restrictions are slowly being lifted, and we can have up to 5 visitors around now.

We spent a lovely evening with Crystal for her birthday catching up as we hadn't seen each other for a few weeks.

A selection of Crystal's birthday cards.

Beautiful peonies for the Birthday Girl.

Pouring the wine.  Dinner is nearly ready.

Roast lamb, from Josef Chromy home delivery.

Or Roast pork.

Breakfast catch up at Samuel Pepys

We had a lovely catch up with Sue and Andy, Crystal and Gerrard at Samuel Pepys this morning.  It was foggy when we left home, and back home...
