Bruny Island Ferry.

It took about 2 1/2 hours from our home to get to the Bruny Island Ferry.  There was only a little queue for the ferry which was lucky and it's only a 20 minute ferry ride.  Nice and calm.

To the Bruny Island Ferry.

Just a little queue.

We saw a pod of dolphins on our trip home.

This was the colour of our car when we left Bruny Island.

Bruny Island Beaches

There are a lot of lovely beaches at Bruny Island.

We walked up to the top of the lookout at the Isthmus.

There is the memorial for Truganini at the top of the lookout.

We found this pile of driftwood when we went for a walk along the beach.

Bruny Island Lighthouse.

We travelled to the lighthouse on the northern part of Bruny Island.

On the road to the Lighthouse.

The sea was very rough.

There were lots and lots of wallabies.

Unfortunately the weather was against us to see an aurora.

Bruny Island Attractions

On arrival to Bruny Island our first stop was to the Bruny Island Whisky for a taste test.

Bruny Island Whisky.

We taste tested three of the whiskies and bought two bottles.

Then to the Bruny Island Cheese for a taste test.

We bought the vintage cheddar C2 and a camembert style cheese called Saint.

Then to Bruny Island Honey.  So many varieties to choose from.

Bruny Island Chocolate shop.

The Coconut Rough was delicious.

We stopped at the community Bread Fridge to buy some bread.  And it was still warm.

This lovely lady on Instagram makes these wonderful
spoons and other items and sells them at
different markets.  I sent her a message to see if
we could call in to have a look.  And buy some.

We called into Bruny Island Premium Wines at Lunawanna for a tasting.
We purchased some of their amazing ciders 😍

The fridge at Get Shucked packed full of oysters.

Plus yummy Bruny Island Smoke House fare.

Freshly shucked oysters.

Freshly cooked Oysters Kilpatrick.

So much yummy food on Bruny Island.
We ate like kings.

I never get tired of this view.

We moved to Blackwall 16 years ago.  And I never get tired of the ever changing views from our front window. Beautiful afternoon sunset glow...
