Time to go home. Good bye Adelaide.

 Farewell to Adelaide.

The Old Tollhouse at the beginning of the Adelaide Hills.

The Heysen Tunnels.

The road was really quiet with no traffic.

We stopped for cappuccinos at Kiki.

Lovely little cart outside the Kiki cafe.

We stopped for fuel at Mt Gambier and there was a Krispy Kreme Drive Thru.

Views along the way in Victoria.

The road was still quiet with little traffic.

There was a koala on the side of the road, so we stopped.
By the time I got my camera out it had run in
front of the car and climbed the tree across the road.

There are lots of windfarms in Victoria.

There was this cute koala in the tree.  We did a u turn to go back to take his photo.

We went through Noorat on our way to Camperdown.

Made it to Camperdown.

The Clocktower in Camperdown.

We stopped at the Pombo Mart to visit friends.

One of the many drystone walls near Camperdown.

Paddocks of canola in flower in Victoria.

Seagulls flying alongside the Spirit as we left Geelong.

Good bye holiday.
We had a wonderful time.

K1 winery and Brighton Beach

We had recommendations to go to K1 winery, it's in the middle of nowhere, but well worth the drive.

K1 Winery Cellar Door overlooking the lake.

Display of bottles.

Views of the lake.

Table all set for tastings.

So peaceful.

Lovely views.

Overhanging trees in the Adelaide Hills.

The Pier at Brighton Beach.

People near the jetty.

There were people catching crabs at the end of the pier.

Shopping at the Adelaide Market

We always love shopping at the Adelaide Market as we don't have anything like this at home.  It was a rainy day, but that didn't dampen our day.

Driving past China Town.

China Town.

Peking Duck hanging in the window of the Chinese Restaurant.

Pop Corn on the cob at the Adelaide Market.

Gorgeous coffee pots at the market.

Cannoli we bought at the market for morning tea.

Chocolate coated fruit.  Looks yummy.

Jumbo size crumpets.

Smallgoods for sale at the market.

Donuts and pastries at the market.

Fresh fruit salad.

Lots of cheeses to choose from.

We bought a truffle cheese and a Norwegian brown cheese.

Way too many to choose from.

Kangaroo sausages and kebabs at the butchers at the market.

Kangaroo, venison and wild boar.

What an amazing selection at the butcher shop.

A day at the Royal Adelaide Show.

It was a lovely not to sunny day to spend some time at the Royal Adelaide Show.  There was so much to see and do, and we looked after our inner child, especially with the show bags.

Going on a Ferris Wheel ride.

The other ferris wheel the other side of the show.

Me on the Ferris Wheel.

The Ferris Wheel we went on.

We saw the pigs, and cows and sheep.

Lots of choices in snacks.

Lots of choices for more food and rides.

Hot buttered corn anyone?

One of the entertainments.

Show dolls.

Orchids in the flower display.

I didn't take a lot of photos as there were lots of people,
but it wasn't too crowded and we had a wonderful time.
