Lunch at Pyengana

We had a trip to Scottsdale for work the other day, so we continued along the road to go to Pyengana for a bit of lunch and then a little way along the road to see the St Columba Falls.  Such a lovely day for a drive.

Man Ferns growing along the Sideling on our way to Scottsdale.

Views from the Sideling Lookout.

Sideling Lookout.

Driving through the Sideling to Scottsdale.

Through the Myrtle Forest along the Weldborough Pass to Pyengana.

A selection of Pyengana cheeses to purchase.

Cheese truckles aging in the storeroom.

Yummy lunch platter to share.

Interesting fungus growing along the path to St Columba Falls.

Little creek running alongside the boardwalk.

It had rained recently so the St Columba Falls was rushing quickly.

I love waterfalls.

More of the St Columba Falls.

It's a magical place to stand and watch the falls.

Huge Man Ferns along the walk.

We stopped at the Dragon Trail cemetery at Moorina to read
about the Chinese tin miners that had lived and died in the area.
The Derby area has such a rich history of the Chinese tin miners.
The Joss House was moved from the area to the Launceston Museum
due to the dwindling numbers of Chinese in the area.
