The weather has finally stopped raining, for today anyway, so we went to the Bridestowe Lavender Farm. The lavender were just showing some colour, but if we leave it any longer to visit, it's just so busy.

Bridestowe Lavender Farm
Frosty washed his work car last weekend,
so it's been raining ever since.
We had a lovely sunny start to the day
until we took the Spyder out.
Then the sun went in.
A pyramid cottage along Old Bangor Tram Road.
Lovely countryside along Old Bangor Tram Road.
We turned off to go through to Bangor.
Mount Arthur.
If there's snow on Mt Arthur
then it's really cold.
No snow today.
Views along the way.

Inside the gift shop.
They sell Bobbie the Bear tea.

Lavender Fields drink bottles.
They have teapots, cups and saucers
in the gift shop too.

A smaller version to buy.
And cute little Bobbies.

A few of the rows of lavender plants.
The flowers are just starting to come out.
A view back to the gift shop.
You can see the giant Bobbie
the Bear through the window.
I'm no good at taking selfies.
Back to the flowering lavender plants.
A view with Mount Arthur in the background.
We enjoyed a Lavender Gin affogatto.
So yummy.
Derelict cottage at one of the
wineries along the way home.
We saw several Santa's along the way.
I took this photo last week at Lefroy.
We had a lovely time at Bridestowe
and bought a couple of little treats
from the gift shop.

Olivia & Maddi
We were invited to Olivia and Maddi's house for a home tour. While we were there we received some wonderfully exciting news. We were asked to keep it quiet until they made an official announcement. Now they have done that I can post this on my blog.
Their home.
Fresh flowers on the kitchen table.

A little clue to the good news.
Wow. Maddi is expecting. How wonderful.
The photo of the scan. Is that twins?
The nursery is starting to look cute.
Lots of baby clothes.
We were expecting to have a look around their new home,
but were pleasantly surprised by their awesome news of a baby.
A couple of weeks later and it's TWINS.
How amazing.

Sunday afternoon Spyder ride to Low Head Lighthouse
We have been wanting to go to the Low Head lighthouse for a while now, and as the weather today was warmer than it had been for ages, we took the chance to go for a Spyder ride. There were a couple of spots of rain but nothing to worry about.
Jacket on, helmet on, gloves. Okay lets ride.
The view of the Batman Bridge along the way.
Lovely spring weather along the river road.
Over the Batman Bridge.
Welcome to George Town.

We went past the George Town airport. The helicopter was on standby.
This one came in to refuel. It had been waterbombing the Beechford/Lefroy bushfir3e.
Ready to refuel and go again.
We went into Bell Bay to see the ships in the port.

Then back home over the Batman Bridge again,
for a cappuccino for afternoon tea.
