Celebrating St Patrick's Day

We attended the St Patrick's Day Festival in Westbury on Saturday.  The weather was magnificent and the festival was wonderful as usual.  The programme had been slightly changed this year, and we were able to watch the Irish Dancers as previously they had performed early in the proceedings and we always seemed to miss them.  Their costumes are gorgeous, and they have a wide range in ages.  The little ones are so cute.  After the festival we travelled through to Devonport and continued our St Patrick's Day celebrations by having a meal at Molly Malone's.

Irish Green vintage MG at Westbury.

This group were performing Sea Shanties and Irish Songs.

Gorgeous costumes of the Irish Dancers.

Another of the dancers.

Waiting for the music to start.

Ready to take a bow.

The Irish Dancers were so wonderful to watch.

Dancing around the Maypole.

St Patrick was wandering around the festival.

Another group performing Irish tunes.

The girls on the violins/fiddles were great.

We watched the Morris Dancers.

We were talking to a couple of the Morris Dancers before their performance.

A light lunch of Salt & Pepper Squid with chips and a glass of Guinness.

A few shamrocks growing on the fence line.

Here in Devonport at Molly Malones.

A couple of stain glass windows in the dining room.

We ordered Potato Skins and Pork Belly with noodles.

Chocolate Guinness cake for sweets.

And Irish Coffees.

I love the carpet in Molly Malones.

Time to leave and go to our accommodation.
We have a Car and Bike Show in Devonport on Sunday.
