All in a days work.

Just a few pictures from that last few days.  We have had a really busy week with early starts and late nights across parcel runs filling in for staff on holidays.

All the wattle trees are out in full bloom this picture was taken at the back of Campbell Town.

Tasmanian Tiger Hunting

It was Threatened Species Day yesterday and Tasmania has a few on the list including the Tasmanian Devil, Orange Bellied Parrot and Spotted Tail Quoll to name a few.

As we are always out and about with our work, we are always on the look out for anything unusual.  We were working at the back of Scottsdale, Lebrina and Pipers River on the look out for Tasmanian Devils and Tasmanian Tigers.

During the daytime they were all asleep and we didn't see any of them.  Tassie Devils have been released in the wild in these areas, and there are sometimes reports of tiger sighting too.

Notices along the way to watch out for Tasmanian Devils.

Cold rainy day for a trip to Scottsdale.

Then it rained quite heavy.

Low cloud over Mt Arthur.

Along the way.

Sign post for George Town or Bridport.

You wouldn't spot a Tasmanian Tiger in this thick bushland.

The last authenticated photo of a Tasmanian Tiger in 1936. (Thank you Google)
There have been plenty of sightings since then.  Are they really out there?

Birthdays and Anniversaries

We have just spent the last few days celebrating, it was my birthday on Wednesday and our 40th Wedding Anniversary on Sunday along with my Mum's 84th birthday.  We have had plenty to eat and bubbles to drink along with lots of chocolates to celebrate.  My lounge room looks like a florist shop, just beautiful.

Flowers for my birthday.

We took Mum out for lunch and these are her beautiful flowers, thank you Heather, John, and girls.

Apollo 11

It was fifty years ago last Saturday that we watched the moon landing.  I was 7 years old and in grade 3 living in Adelaide.  On this day in 1969 we were sent home early from school so we could watch the moon landing on television.  Back then we only had black and white television sets, and the pictures sent back from the moon were grainy.  Today we are so lucky to have the picture digitally enhanced and in colour.  Thank you to Google for the photos.

Eurosports meeting at the Launceston Motor Museum.

We had the Eurosports meeting at the Launceston Motor Museum on Sunday morning.  This was our final meeting there before moving to the new museum site in September ready for our October get together.  Below is a selection of cars from our Eurosports members and some cars and motorbikes inside the Motor Museum.
