Goodbye Toowoomba, hello Hervey Bay. It was a foggy start to the day in Toowoomba, but by the time we went out for breakfast the weather was warm and sunny. We drove past the flowers displays and went shopping at Harold's Finishing Touches - my most favourite shop in the whole world. Check him out on Insta. We went through Kingaroy to see the painted silos but they were on a long detour so we didn't, however the place smells of Peanut Butter. OMG. You could almost eat the air. Then to our main destination for the holiday, we arrived in Hervey Bay late afternoon, just in time to see the sunset from the Urangan Pier and out for dinner.

Road Trip - Day 6
Foggy start to the day in Toowoomba.
Toowoomba the Garden City.
Gorgeous flower garden.
Another colourful flower garden in Toowoomba.
We stopped for breakfast at Sage & Butler Cafe in Toowoomba.
Another yummy breakfast.
We sat outside underneath this tree.
The Carnival of Flowers, Toowoomba.
It was going to be a long day so we didn't stop. I took photos as we rode past.
More colourful flowers for the Carnival of Flowers.
We did stop at Harold's Finishing Touches.
My favourite shop in the whole world.
Some of the lovely items he has for sale.
I did buy the small Cabbage Vase. It goes with my Cabbage Dinner Set.
I had it posted home.
One last photo as we drove away.
Lots of shady roads which was really nice as the temperature was getting hotter.
Past the turn off to Bunya Mountains National Park.
Amazing huge cactus plants growing at the side of the road.
Kingaroy Peanut Factory. It smelt SO amazing.
We watched the gliders being towed out. We sat in the shade while we tackled the GPS.
We drove past the Peanut Van - we are really restrained and didn't buy any.
The Peanut Sculpture in Kingaroy.
The Bjelke-Petersen Dam just out of Kingaroy.
Where did our shady road go???
Sugar Cane fields.
More Sugar Cane growing.
Nearly to our destination.
One of the many Queenslanders we rode past.
Silhouettes.
The first view of the seaside at Hervey Bay / Urangan.
After we booked into our accommodation we had to have a little wander around and stretch our legs.
The statue at the beginning of the pier is called 'Duo'.
Mr Percival on the Pier. You can get really close to get great photos.
Sunset on the Pier.
The sun going down.
A Windsurfer out getting the last of the sunshine.
Amazingly colourful parrots in the trees preening themselves.
Pizza for dinner.
