Road Trip - Day 9

We have been SO lucky with the weather, the thunderstorm yesterday cleared the air and it's a magical day today.   After breakfast we went to the market neat the Urangan Pier, our daily walk along the Pier, then a ride to the Botanical Gardens to see the Orchid House (which was closed 😏) but we got to see more turtles 😀.   Then on to the BIRTHDAY PARTY - CHEERS TO 90 YEARS.  See the next page for Birthday photos.  After the party we went for a ride along the Esplanade back to our accommodation, then a walk along the Pier again to see the sunset.

I had French Toast for breakfast.

At the market they were selling pineapples.
OMG look at the colour of them.
Ours look like hand grenades at home -
Size and colour wise.

These were the size of hand grenades.
But the colour.  And they are SO sweet.
Richard had to buy one.

The bouquets of flowers are so bright and colourful.

A selfie of me on the Pier with Fraser Island in the background.

Mr Percival and friend.

The tropical flowers in the Botanical Gardens are really pretty.

The fountain hiding behind all the greenery.

The Japanese Garden in the Botanical Gardens.

More tropical flowers.

Welcome to Hervey Bay - the beginning of the Esplanade.

The Whale Tail at the roundabout.

The jetty at Scarness along the Esplanade.

We stopped to watch the yachts.

Steps down to the beach.

We went for a walk along the Pier to see the sunset.

They are so pretty.

Time to go for dinner.
